Biography

Gerard (I) Flamens (Wassenberg) was a brother Rutger. They are both mentioned in the Annales Rhodensus, a writing from the 1100s. Gerard is the ancestor of the Counts of Gelre. Rutger is seen as the ancestor of Dietrich von Kleve (1058-1119). [1][2][3] [4][5][6]
